Germany's shortage of skilled workers has been on the agenda for years. Even so, an engineer applying from Turkey spends months getting placed. The reason is not a shortage of openings.
Every listing has its own form, its own CV expectations, its own language requirement. Preparing a single application properly takes about forty minutes. Fifty applications, thirty-three hours. Most people stop at the fifteenth — not because the listings ran out, but because they did.
Kelyvaro takes on those thirty-three hours. It does not take on the sending: you see every application, you approve it, and the mail goes out from your own address. That is not a preference but a requirement — employers reply to an application from a real person, not to bot traffic.
Three steps. The last one is yours.
Build your profile
Your experience, education, language level, visa status and the cities you want to move to. It takes about fifteen minutes. You never fill it in again.

Not every profession takes the same road.
In Germany, formal recognition of a foreign degree (Anerkennung) is mandatory for some professions and not for others. Some require a language certificate; in others employers are flexible. Kelyvaro knows the difference and only shows you listings you can genuinely apply to.

The 2026 Beitragsbemessungsgrenze is €101,400 a year (€8,450 a month). Blue Card thresholds are set as a percentage of it: 50% for the standard threshold, 45.3% for shortage occupations and career starters.
Footnotes
Data analyst — classification
"Datenanalyst" has no exact counterpart in ISCO-08. Whether it counts as a shortage occupation depends on the job description — IT and software focused roles fall inside group 25, business or finance analysis roles may fall outside it. The description of the work decides, not the job title in the contract.
Nurse — Blue Card eligibility
The Blue Card requires a university degree. Germany’s classic three-year vocational nursing training does not count as one. A nurse with a bachelor’s degree can obtain a Blue Card at the shortage threshold; a nurse with a vocational or associate qualification cannot, and uses a different residence permit under §18a AufenthG.
Accountant — the limits of the work
"Buchhalter" is not a regulated profession, but the work it may perform is limited by law (§6 StBerG).
Unrestricted
Reserved for a Steuerberater
- recording
- data entry
- bookkeeping from coded documents
- current transaction records, payroll, income tax returns(with commercial training and three years of experience at a minimum of sixteen hours a week)
- year-end closing
- balance sheets
- tax returns
- VAT returns
Exceeding the limit carries a fine of up to €5,000.
Sales specialist — the insurance exception
Not regulated. The one exception is sector-specific — selling insurance requires a §34d GewO permit from the IHK and a competence exam.
Glossary
- Anerkennung
- The process of having a degree earned abroad formally recognised in Germany. Mandatory in regulated professions such as healthcare and law; most of the time not required in engineering and software.
- Engpassberuf
- A shortage occupation as defined by §18g(1) sentence 2 no. 1 AufenthG by reference to ISCO-08 groups; applications in these groups qualify for the lower Blue Card salary threshold.
- Beitragsbemessungsgrenze (BBG)
- The income ceiling for German social insurance contributions; the Blue Card salary thresholds are calculated each year as a percentage of it.
There is what comes after.
You got the offer. Now come the work permit, residence registration, health insurance, tax number, bank account and a flat. Kelyvaro stays with you for this part too.
- Work permit and visa
- Shows which visa type you qualify for, which documents you need to prepare and how long each stage takes, step by step.
- Salary and cost of living
- Shows what the offer you received actually means in that city. Gross versus net, rent, insurance, transport. You negotiate with numbers in hand.
- Relocation checklist
- Anmeldung, Steuer-ID, Krankenversicherung, bank account. Which comes in what order, and which one is a prerequisite for the next. One missed step costs weeks.
